Direct Care Associate (DCA) – Heinzerling Community
Heinzerling Community has been providing exceptional care for over 60 years to hundreds of children and adults with severe and profound developmental disabilities. We are currently hiring compassionate and dedicated Direct Care Associates (DCAs) to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.
Available Shifts & Pay Rates (including shift and weekend differentials):
1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM | $19.25 – $21.25/hour
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | $21.25 – $23.25/hour

Job Responsibilities:
Provide direct care to male and female residents.
Assist with daily living activities including hygiene, personal care, and feeding.
Support individual goals and help residents reach their fullest potential.
Maintain a clean, safe, and nurturing environment.
Foster positive interactions that reflect love, dignity, and respect.
Requirements:
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
We are a substance-free workplace and do not accommodate the use of recreational or medical marijuana.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push individuals in wheelchairs weighing up to 200 lbs.
Must be able to use hands regularly to finger, handle, or feel; and be able to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Must remain awake and alert for the entirety of each shift.
