As a Healthcare Assistant in Outpatients at our hospital, you’ll bring relevant experience, a keen eye for detail and a flexible approach. You demonstrate patience, focus and excellent communication skills. A real team player, you have the diligence, IT literacy and passion for development and training to make a difference.
As a Healthcare Assistant in Outpatients, you will:
Support the Outpatient Manager and Outpatient team in the smooth day to day operation of the department including assisting in administration, stock management and maintaining infection prevention standards.
Enjoy time to care for patients as individuals.
Assist consultants and nurses with procedures.
· Provide chaperone duties, conduct clinical testing and assessment.
Phlebotomy duties
Conduct ECG ‘s
Receive training in adult and pediatric basic life support
The desirable candidate for the role will have –
Qualification in NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social Care - Essential.
Experience working in hospital setting - Essential.
Phlebotomy – Desirable
ECG – Desirable
BLS / PBLS – Desirable

Bank Contract
This post is for a bank position, there will be no regular contracted hours. Working hours will be offered on an ad-hoc basis – as and when required to support the department through periods of holidays, study leave and sickness absence to meet the needs of the business and ensure safe staffing levels.
At the start of your employment with Nuffield Health there will be a period of induction where you will be required to attend for regular shifts to complete your induction process, mandatory training and clinical competencies.
