Senior Specialist Support Worker
Location:
Twigworth, Gloucestershire 
Hours:
Up to 45 hours per week 
Pay: £14.92
per hour 

Shift Pattern: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. 

Driving Requirements: Due to the nature of this role, a UK Full Clean driving license with access to a vehicle with business insurance (or willingness to obtain) is essential. You may also be required to drive the individual’s vehicle if necessary. 

DBS Check: This role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check, which will be provided by Prosperity Care & Wellbeing.

We are looking for highly experienced Support Workers wanting to progress or Senior Support Workers looking for a change who have experience working with challenging behaviours to join our award-winning team. 

Your Role:

We’re looking for a compassionate and confident Senior Support Worker to help young adults with complex needs and challenging behaviours lead more independent lives. In this role, you’ll lead and inspire a team of Support Workers, providing hands-on care, managing behaviours safely, and creating a positive, person-centred environment where everyone thrives. You’ll mentor staff, ensure care plans and risk assessments are followed, and always handle sensitive information with the utmost care.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Complex Care and working with Challenging Behaviours.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to motivate, inspire, and support a team.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build meaningful relationships with individuals, families, and colleagues.
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding, person-centred care, and relevant legislation and best practices.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to effectively manage challenging situations.
  • Dedication to reducing restrictive practices and empowering others.
  • Resilient, committed, and passionate about making a real difference in the role.
