Job Title: Residential Support Worker
Provision: Children's Home for 7 to 17 year olds, EBD and one LD, 2 to 4 Bed depending on home/location 
Location: Durham
Salary: £24,000 to £26,600
Schedule: 2 on 4 off.
 
As a residential support worker, you will nurture and support the children and young people in your care, with all aspects of day-to-day tasks and activities. You will have a passion for helping vulnerable young people achieve positive outcomes And reach their potential. No two days are the same working in Residential Care for Children. If you enjoy working with children and possess the resilience to work with challenging behaviours having a nurturing and supportive approach to your practice, we want to hear from you! Full induction, training and support is provided by the providers in-house learning and development team, including the QCF level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
 
As a Residential Support Worker, you will have the following:
The desire and passion to safeguard, motivate, and inspire the young people in your care
Lead, demonstrate, and share best practice to other practitioners in your home. In addition to working closely alongside Psychologists and the specialist therapeutic services team.
The characteristics and personality to handle challenging behaviour effectively and professionally
Shift work including weekends, evenings & sleep in duties
Full driving license is essential.
Minimum age 21
