Pay

HK$19,764 - HK$24,701 per month

Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

1.     Provide patient care, e.g. oral feeding, toileting, position turning, patient transfer, bed making, napkin changes, skin care, etc.

2.     Assist nurses for patient admission and attend in clinics

3.     Assist doctors / nurses / therapists to prepare and carry out treatment programs / activities, educational activities and group activities for patients.

4.     Prepare patients for operations, X-rays and other procedures as instructed by nurses

5.     Perform cleansing and disinfection of equipment, facilities and environment

6.     Escort patients for operation, examination or treatment.

7.     Assist in setting up and assembly of equipment and prepare patients for investigation and treatment

8.     Assist clinical staff to perform clinical procedures, e.g., vital signs measurement, urine tests, physical assessments, patient rehabilitation, wound care and bandaging, etc

9.     Regular stocktaking of equipment and consumables

10.  Perform general clerical and reception duties

11.  Perform computerized system operation such as appointment booking and data processing

12.  Handle general telephone / public enquiries

13.  Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors

 

Entry Requirements

1.     Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent (see Remarks); and

2.     Completion of structured departmental training (see Remarks); and

3.     Good command of English and Chinese, written and spoken.

 

Preferable Attributes/Exposure

1.     Good PC skills & knowledge in common software such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.

2.     Possess recognized Health Care Assistant Training / Care-related Support Workers Certificate*.

3.     IT Knowledge\: experience in OPAS / CMS operation.

4.     Relevant health care or patient care related training / experience.

5.     Experience in direct patient care and handling of patients’ enquiries.

6.     Good communication and interpersonal skill.

7.     Ability to speak Putonghua.

2.     Applicants who do not meet entry requirement (2), if find suitable, will be employed to undergo at least 6 months’ on the job training including the structured departmental training. Employment may be terminated if the selected applicant cannot pass the examination / assessment after training.

3.     Serving staff who completed F.3/ S.3 with at least 2-year care-related experience may also apply.  Candidates who have completed the JUMP program organized by the HA are considered to have attained F.3/S.3 level.
