Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team in Melksham, United Kingdom. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting clients in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

  • Assist clients with their daily needs, including personal care, hygiene routines, and mobility support
  • Prepare nutritious meals and help with feeding when required
  • Provide medication support, ensuring clients take prescribed medicines as directed
  • Accompany clients on social outings and medical appointments
  • Engage in companionship activities, fostering a positive and supportive environment
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Monitor and report any changes in clients' health or wellbeing
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of care provided
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies

Qualifications

  • No formal qualifications required, but experience in a care setting or interacting with older people is advantageous
  • Genuine passion for supporting others and delivering outstanding service
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build professional relationships
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and respectful demeanour
  • Comfortable spending time in the company of others and providing companionship
  • Physical fitness to assist with daily tasks and support client mobility
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills for maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to work flexibly, including every other weekend
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Empathetic and patient approach to care
  • Ability to follow care plans and maintain confidentiality
  • Right to work in the UK (essential)
  • Willingness to undergo a DBS enhanced disclosure check
