Protective Care Group are on the look out for their next intake of talented Support Workers to support our Young People. Due to this, we are offering a limited amount of spaces to attend a virtual, no obligations, chat with one of our recruitment team on either the 11th or 12th of June.

Whether you already work within the care sector or are looking for a change in career and simply want to find out more, we would love to hear from you.

This will be conducted over Microsoft Teams and last for about 20 -30 minutes, it's a chance for you to ask questions and find out more about life as a Support Worker at PCG.

  • Deliver bespoke and tailor-made support for young people with complex needs, particularly those exhibiting challenging behaviour.

  • Support is provided in solo residential placements only, giving you the opportunity to focus your efforts on one young person and hopefully see for yourself the difference you are making.

  • Ideally at least 12 months employed experience working with vulnerable young people, but open to considering other relevant and transferable employed or lived experience.
  • The ability to remain calm and non-judgemental whilst working with behaviours and needs such as absconding, self-harm, sexualised behaviour, attachment disorder, trauma and criminalisation.
  • A genuine passion for delivering the highest standard of care to vulnerable individuals.
  • Sound knowledge of safeguarding policies.
  • Understanding of CQC and OFSTED regulations and their importance.
  • A full UK manual driving license and are happy and comfortable travelling for work.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • Ideally NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare, however for the right candidate we would be happy to support them obtaining this qualification.

For the right candidates, we will consider experience not set out above.

  • Up to £7,300 annual shift allowance (paid monthly, pro rata) – this rises considerably with the addition of sleeping night shifts
